ATPI Partners with Safar Oilfield Supplies and Liter of Light to Bring Sustainable Energy Solutions to Underserved Communities in the Philippines

ATPI Middle East and Safar Oilfield Supplies is proud to announce its support for Liter of Light, a groundbreaking non-profit organisation dedicated to bringing sustainable solar lighting solutions to communities without access to electricity. This partnership highlights ATPI’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, as the company sponsors the purchase and distribution of innovative solar lamps to communities in need.
Illuminating Lives in Agusan Marsh
Through its collaboration with Liter of Light, ATPI is helping to bridge the gap in providing solar lamps to the indigenous community of Agusan Marsh, a biodiverse wetland region in the southern Philippines. Home to thousands of families living along riverbanks in floating houses, Agusan Marsh lacks connection to an electrical grid, making alternative energy solutions essential for daily life.
The solar lamps purchased through ATPI’s support will be distributed to six municipalities in the region, empowering residents with safe, sustainable, and reliable lighting. These lamps not only illuminate homes but also replace traditional kerosene-based lighting methods, significantly reducing carbon emissions. Each lamp reduces up to 1,000 kilograms of carbon emissions, promoting a cleaner environment while enhancing the quality of life for these communities.
Aid for Typhoon-Stricken Areas
In addition to supporting Agusan Marsh, ATPI and Liter of Light are setting aside a portion of the solar lamps to aid typhoon-stricken regions across the Philippines. These lamps provide critical lighting solutions during power outages caused by natural disasters, ensuring that affected communities have access to essential energy resources during times of crisis.
A Shared Vision for Sustainability
“Through this initiative, ATPI is proud to support Liter of Light’s mission to bring clean, sustainable energy to underserved communities,” said Lynn Coutts, Middle East Managing Director . “This partnership reflects our commitment to creating a positive environmental and social impact, and we are honoured to play a role in lighting the way for a brighter future for those who need it most.”
“At Safar Oilfield Supplies, we believe that innovation and sustainability can transform lives. Partnering with Liter of Light and ATPI allows us to extend this belief beyond our industry, empowering communities in the Philippines with clean, reliable energy and brighter futures.” – William Devoto, Safar Oilfield Supplies
Liter of Light has garnered global recognition for its innovative and eco-friendly solutions, and this collaboration with ATPI underscores the power of partnerships in addressing the pressing challenges of energy access and sustainability.
