ATPI Marine Travel has been welcomed as the newest member of InterManager, the international trade association representing the ship and crew management sector. This new partnership reflects ATPI’s long-standing commitment to supporting the maritime industry and the seafarers who keep thousands of ships moving every day.

Strengthening connections with ship and crew managers

Joining InterManager ensures that ATPI Marine is now even better positioned to understand the operational pressures, regulatory challenges and shifting priorities faced by ship and crew management companies. Membership helps us continue tailoring our services to the exact needs of those on the front lines of maritime operations. As Eleftheria Letsiou, Head of Global Account Management at ATPI Marine Travel, explains:

“Joining InterManager underlines our ongoing commitment to the maritime industry and our dedication to supporting the people who keep global shipping moving. We look forward to working alongside InterManager members to advance innovation, sustainability, and crew welfare across the sector.”

Crew travel as an essential success factor

With over three-quarters of a million seafarer journeys managed in 2024 alone, ATPI Marine Travel offers unparalleled insight into how efficient travel planning impacts broader operational outcomes, from minimising downtime to enhancing crew wellbeing and retention. It’s mission-critical: a missed connection can disrupt schedules, affect compliance and place added strain on both crew and shore-based teams. By becoming a member of InterManager, ATPI is helping bring greater visibility to this vital yet often underrepresented component of maritime logistics.

Kuba Szymanski, Secretary General at InterManager, welcomed the new partnership, stating: “We’re delighted to welcome ATPI Marine Travel to the InterManager family. Their long-standing commitment to the maritime sector, particularly their expertise in crew travel and logistics, directly supports our shared mission to improve safety, welfare, and operational excellence at sea.”

Supporting industry-wide progress

ATPI’s decision to join InterManager reflects a broad alignment of values. Both organisations are champions of improving seafarer welfare, advancing sustainable practices and fostering innovation within the maritime sector. ATPI is committed to playing an active role in supporting the initiatives driven by InterManager and its members, from regulatory reform and environmental goals to mental health support and professional development for crews worldwide.

As a global leader in crew change travel with a presence in every major shipping hub, ATPI brings not only practical expertise but also a deep understanding of regional complexities and cultural nuances. This is particularly true in high-traffic crew change locations such as Manila, Doha and Singapore. This global-local insight is key to ensuring that industry initiatives translate into tangible improvements for both crews and the ship managers who support them.

A shared vision for maritime excellence

ATPI Marine Travel’s membership of InterManager reinforces our role as both a service provider and an industry advocate. By contributing travel expertise and data-driven insight to the wider maritime conversation, ATPI aims to help shape a more resilient, efficient and people-centred future for global shipping.

As the industry continues to evolve in response to geopolitical shifts, decarbonisation targets and workforce challenges, collaboration has never been more critical. ATPI is proud to stand alongside InterManager in a shared mission to elevate standards, drive innovation and prioritise the people who power maritime trade.
