We were thrilled that two of our own have been recognised at the prestigious 2024 Business Travel People Awards, it was a moment of immense pride for our entire organisation and especially our UK Team.
Camilla Tuzemen: Shining Star of the Year
Camilla Tuzemen, our Group Technology Optimisation Manager, was named Shining Star of the Year 2024, and it’s easy to see why. Camilla’s passion, innovation, and relentless drive have made a lasting impact across the business – and now, the wider industry has taken notice.
Reflecting on her win, Camilla shared:
“To be a winner feels truly incredible. It’s validation for all the hard work and passion that I put into what I do. This award motivates me to continue pushing boundaries and striving for greater things.”
The moment her name was called was one she’ll never forget:
“It was surreal, as if time had paused. There was a rush of excitement, disbelief and joy – including a few tears!”
Camilla’s win has sparked an outpouring of support from colleagues, friends, and family alike. She hopes her recognition will inspire others in the industry to believe in themselves and aim high:
“Winning the Shining Star Award has given me the confidence to achieve even more. I hope it delivers a message that you can be anything you want to be.”

Partnerships Team: Account Management Team of the Year
Our Partnerships Team, led by Director of Corporate Partnerships, Sam Davies, also took home a major honour: Account Management Team of the Year. This award recognises the team’s unwavering commitment to excellence, collaboration, and client success.
Sam described the win as:
“An incredible honour. It’s recognition of the hard work, dedication and passion that my team and I put into everything we do.”
The moment was surreal for Sam and the team:
“I wasn’t sure if it was actually me called up. It was just so surreal – one of those moments you dream of, but never fully expect to happen.”
The win has been met with excitement and pride from across the business and beyond. Sam’s family, especially her partner and three daughters, were overjoyed:
“Moments like this make the hard work and being away from them all worth it.”
Looking ahead, Sam hopes the award will shine a light on the team’s impact and open doors for new opportunities:
“It shows that we’re not just dedicated to our work, we make a real impact.”
The award now takes pride of place in our Manchester office, a symbol of how far the team has come… and what’s still to come!
