British Wheelchair Basketball and ATPI Sport Travel renew partnership for four more years
ATPI has confirmed a renewal of its partnership with British Wheelchair Basketball for a further four years as the governing body’s official travel partner.
ATPI, a global leader in travel and events management across multiple industries, will continue to provide crucial travel planning and logistical support for BWB’s GB teams as they compete on the world stage.
This renewal follows a successful four-year term in which ATPI Sport Travel has consistently demonstrated its value through specialist services, ensuring seamless travel arrangements for the men’s and women’s GB squads at major competitions including the 2022 IWBF World Championships in Dubai and the 2023 IWBF European Championships in the Netherlands.
Looking ahead, ATPI Sport Travel will continue to support the GB teams as they embark on a new four-year Paralympic cycle, building towards LA 2028. ATPI’s experience will be instrumental in ensuring the squads can focus on their performance during this period, which will feature multiple training camps and international competitions.
Our GB teams are among the best in the world and international travel for training camps and competition is a crucial part of their development and success. Travel is significantly more challenging for disabled people, with accessibility requirements adding layers of complexity to every single journey. Therefore, the expertise and support ATPI provides are invaluable in navigating some of these challenges, allowing our teams to travel efficiently and focus entirely on competing at the highest level. Our relationship with ATPI demonstrates the essential role our partners play in helping British Wheelchair Basketball achieve both its performance and strategic goals and we are delighted to be working with them for a further four years.
