The Improved Cookstoves Project manufactures and distributes efficient charcoal cookstoves, enabling rural families across Nigeria to cook using cleaner, more efficient cookstoves, helping to slow forest degradation, lower emissions and leading to better community health.
Made in Africa, the stoves are distributed across all 36 states in Nigeria, benefitting some 160,000 households with cleaner air and an average reduction in fuel spend of $300 per year.
ATPI Halo Product Director, Pippa Strasser-Ganderton says, ‘We are really excited about this new project at ATPI. Not only because it helps reduce emissions, as well as play a significant role in reducing respiratory illness related to traditional cookstoves, but it is CORSIA eligible (Carbon Offset & Reduction Scheme for International Aviation), supporting clients whose unavoidable air travel emissions relate to business-critical travel.’
ATPI Halo works with clients to analyse their travel data in order to create a fully transparent and efficient sustainable travel programme.
We work with some of the world’s leading offsetting projects such as the Improved Cookstoves Project, which is a fully certified and independently monitored programme.
All of our clients receive official certification of their retired offsets, demonstrating their commitment to reducing their unavoidable travel CO2 emissions. If you would like to find out more about how we can work with your company, visit the ATPI Halo website here
