LCFC Women x ATPI | Active Girls Holiday Scheme 2025
This August, Leicester City in the Community delivered the Active Girls Holiday Scheme, a week-long programme designed to help young women build confidence and self-esteem through dance, music, art, and sport. The initiative encouraged participants to explore personal identity, share their stories, and celebrate their achievements in a final showcase at the Phoenix Centre in Leicester.
A highlight of the project came when LCFC Women players, including Jutta Rantala, joined the sessions. Their surprise appearances brought huge excitement, as they took part in activities, joined creative workshops, and spoke about their journeys in football – inspiring the girls with their stories of resilience and ambition.
At ATPI, we were proud to support the scheme by helping to bring the player appearances to life, as it strongly reflects the values behind ATPI Inspires. This global initiative encourages our colleagues to engage with their local communities, contribute their time and skills, and support projects that make a real difference. Seeing the impact of Active Girls first-hand was a powerful reminder of the importance of initiatives that empower young people to believe in themselves.
Leicester City in the Community is the official charity of LCFC, working with more than 12,000 people every year across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. From school mentoring and women and girls’ programmes to mental health support, disability sport and refugee projects, their work demonstrates the power of football to create meaningful change in people’s lives.
Together with Leicester City in the Community, we’re proud to support projects that truly deliver what matters.
