Earlier this week we announced our new chapter at ATPI, having been acquired by Direct Travel.
This union forms a new global travel management powerhouse capable of delivering comprehensive, consistent and cost-effective travel management services and unique technologies.
Direct Travel is a global leader in corporate travel who has built a reputation for delivering unparalleled customer experiences and brings extensive and innovative technology capabilities to ATPI customers.
They are no newcomers to the industry and has been around for over 50 years. ATPI’s relationship with Direct Travel was formalised within a business partnership in 2017, so we already have an established history together. This step forward is now a natural extension of this long-standing partnership.
Our ATPI Regional Managing Directors globally have been giving their take on how this exciting news will benefit our customers across the world.
Adam Knights:
“This union is a very important development for both ATPI and Direct Travel. With our strategic partnership already in place for over 8 years now, this a natural evolution of our relationship. The business travel landscape is changing as clients seek new ways to book and manage their travel. This agreement will put us at the forefront of these developments, as we have the opportunity to take full advantage of the market-leading technologies being developed by Direct Travel.”
Ali Hussain:
“Direct Travel & ATPI have been in a successful partnership for almost 10 years. The acquisition of ATPI by Direct Travel is an exciting time as the travel world is changing and so is the business of travel. The global organization combines the latest travel technology with a foundation of high-touch personalized service which is unique. Our global reach & local expertise enable us to expand support to our customers through their journey as their travel needs evolve and are reimagined.”
Gary Pearce:
“Direct Travel have acquired ATPI for those things we do really well…. our specialized teams that provide service to our customers and our global reach within the multiple specialist sectors we serve. This is not a new development as we have already been working very closely in an official partnership for 8 years. As we continue to focus on our specialist Energy sector clients, this gives us the best of both worlds – the excellent service capabilities that our customers have come to know, but now combined with new ready-made proprietary technologies from Direct Travel.”
Peter Muller:
“This is very exciting news for ATPI’s Australasia and African regions, particularly within our Mining & Resources sector. Direct Travel already has a strong heritage in business travel, but more specifically within the industry in Canada and the Americas. We look forward to working together to provide greater opportunities for our Mining sector clients, sharing best practice and utilising newly developed technologies.”
