The Envira Amazonia Project is a community-based REDD+ initiative protecting 39,000 hectares of tropical rainforest in the Acre region of Brazil. Located along the Envira River, the project prevents deforestation caused by cattle ranching, infrastructure development, and slash-and-burn agriculture. In addition to preserving one of the world’s most biodiverse ecosystems, it delivers long-term benefits to local communities through sustainable development.
