The challenge

Acquiring an industry competitor at the same time as procuring a new travel management provider meant that the client faced tackling two significant challenges in tandem. The goal was to go live with a new travel management programme globally, with both companies sitting under the client’s umbrella brand from the day the programme went live.

In order to perform a seamless integration and make the client’s business goals a reality, ATPI Marine & Energy needed to combine all of the data provided by both organisations into one cohesive corporate travel strategy, built on efficient processes.

Parallel to this ran the usual challenges that come with merging two businesses, such as integrating new policies, communicating to new team members using one voice, preserving the client’s existing company culture and processes, converting the acquired organisation’s protocols to the client’s protocols and ensuring that the project progresses at an efficient pace.
