| EUROPCAR GO AIRSIDE |
 |
|
Europcar UK has become the first car rental company to provide an airside rental desk at Gatwick Airport. The new airside desk is located in the domestic departure lounge at Gatwick's North Terminal and provides travellers with an opportunity to save time when they embark at their destination.
All rental paperwork is completed while waiting to board the plane, which not only gives travellers the chance to utilise the time, but enables them to pick up their rental car as soon as they arrive at their destination.
As an added benefit, Europcar customers can take advantage of the Privilege Ready Service by signing up at the airside desk. The Privilege Ready Service gives priority counter service when travellers arrive at the airport and eliminates the need to sign any paperwork.

VLM AIRLINES DOUBLES AMSTERDAM FLIGHTS
VLM Airlines has doubled the number of flights it operates between London City and Amsterdam. The airline now offers twelve flights each weekday to the Dutch capital. Weekend services on the route have also increased with VLM offering a return flight each Saturday for the first time, and adding a third return service every Sunday. In order to operate these extra flights, the airline has introduced an additional Fokker 50 aircraft, taking its total fleet to 16 Fokker 50s. The carrier has also ??doubled the number of aircraft stationed at Schiphol Airport from two to four.
At Schiphol, VLM's aircraft are parked at the gate allowing quick access on and off the aircraft with no need for bus rides to the terminal from remote stands. This ensures the distance from check-in to boarding is kept to a minimum, a real benefit for business travellers where time is at a premium.
