Fugro and ATPI formalised a new agreement for global travel management services, following an intensive bid process between a large number of Travel Management Companies over a 12 month period. Fugro awarded the contract to ATPI based on its worldwide marine and energy sector expertise, specialist tools and processes, and a well-balanced service contract. The new global agreement commences on 1 January 2019.
ATPI will manage travel for scientists, engineers and ship crews operating in both on and offshore sustainable construction and infrastructure projects, in 4 of Fugro’s largest travel hubs. There is a potential expansion to other countries in the coming years.
Lea Versteeg, global category manager at Fugro, commented: "The care, safety and security of our employees is important to Fugro and the decision to partner with ATPI is driven by the extensive experience they offer in our sector. With ATPI’s expertise and specialist tools that are integrated with our crew management system, we can guarantee the timely rotation of our ship and offshore crews. In addition, ATPI’s technology enables us to reduce travel costs, using a centralised and efficient buying process that gives us more control over our total travel spend. We look forward to a successful partnership."
"Fugro is a leading organisation. We see many similarities in the strategy and culture of both organisations”, commented Marc Lammens, managing director, ATPI Benelux. “ATPI has proudly demonstrated that it is compliant by the strict quality standards set. We are proud to serve Fugro across the globe in the USA, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Angola and the Philippines. The international team that will be led by account management in the Netherlands is excited for this new partnership and ready to make it a success”.
