Global shipping and energy travel specialist ATPI Griffinstone, part of the leading travel management and events business the ATPI Group, will open this year’s London International Shipping Week (LISW) at the official London Stock Exchange Market Open Ceremony on 11 September 2017.

Nikos Gazelidis, global head of shipping sales for ATPI Griffinstone will attend the Market Open ceremony to start the week-long packed schedule of events. This includes the LISW Global Maritime Cluster Round Table Debate, various events surrounding maritime security, and the LISW17 Conference and Gala Dinner.

ATPI Griffinstone continues to work closely with businesses across the shipping sector to deliver increased efficiencies and cost savings. Negotiating marine fares is one such area where the team’s expertise has paid dividends in terms of such savings by working alongside a host of airline partners that offer marine fares. By working alongside a host of airline partners that offer marine fares, including British Airways and Iberia, ATPI Griffinstone’s technology enables online bookings to be made using marine fare content. As a result it is easy to see at a glance what aspects of the booking (baggage, allocated seats for example) are included and how this compares to regular bookings to then identify where further savings might be made.

Nikos Gazelidis, global head of shipping sales, ATPI Griffinstone, comments:

“London International Shipping Week is a hugely important event on the annual shipping and energy calendar. The line-up of events this year promises to be educational and thought provoking with an extremely high calibre of speakers. It is exciting to see so many companies attending and we look forward to meeting with our colleagues and partners over the week.”

Taking place from September 11 to 15, LISW17 will be the must-attend event of the global maritime calendar with more than 140 industry functions and unique networking opportunities. The events will be organised either by the industry at large through the various LISW17 Supporting Organisations or by Sponsoring Companies of LISW17.
