Sailors Society
ATPI supports the Sailors' Society
With our specialist marine travel division, a new charity partnership with the Sailors' Society is a perfect match for ATPI. The international maritime charity provides much needed welfare and support for merchant seafarers around the world.
ATPI are planning to get involved with a number of events across the globe including the Clipper Regatta, Singapore Shipping Ball and the Wilderness Challenge. The relationship kicked off at the beginning of March with ATPI staff joining in the fun of the Sailors' Society Woolly Hat Week raising money towards creating new woolly hats for seafarers working far from home.
ATPI Group CEO Graham Ramsey says "We're proud to provide on-going support to the Sailors' Society, a charity which we recognise for their fantastic work caring for the professional and personal well-being of merchant mariners, both in port and whilst away at sea."
ATPI Group has specialist operations in marine travel, understanding the complexity of moving ship crews and the challenges of life at sea. Our work with the Sailors' Society will be towards enhancing the well-being of seafarers.
The Sailors' Society exists to enrich and enhance the lives of the world's 1.2 million seafarers by offering practical help, emotional and spiritual support and, when in dire need, financial assistance and family liaison through their Port Chaplains and Seafarers' Centres. Support is provided regardless of rank, nationality or faith.

The Sailors’ Society employs full and part-time Port Chaplains who work proactively visiting ships and seafarers throughout the port and beyond. The charity also enjoys the support of numerous Honorary Chaplains in a voluntary capacity who are able to respond to emergency situations and visit seafarers and ships as requested.
