ATPI is proud to announce the renewal of our charity partnership with Lymington SailAbility, continuing to support the providers of sailing lessons for people with disabilities.
Lymington SailAbility provides a safe environment that still allows the sense of freedom and exhilaration that sailing can give. Whilst not a lifesaving charity, they can be life changing, often giving people trapped by a disability a sense of control and enjoyment they thought they had lost.
ATPI Group CEO Graham Ramsey commented: "We're proud to continue our established relationship with Lymington SailAbility, a charity close to our hearts given ATPI's strong links to marine travel and the sailing community. We recognise them for their invaluable community work and generosity - as a completely self-funded charity it's important to us to continue supporting them."
At present the charity has a fleet of ten of their own boats; however the funding from ATPI will go a long way towards expanding the charity's equipment, with plans to purchase a safety boat and a small tractor which will launch and recover the boats in a faster far more efficient way.
Lymington SailAbility has been operating as an independent charity providing accessible and fun sailing facilities to people with disabilities for over ten years, expanding each year through donations and the time of volunteer workers.
